Midyear resolutions

How many times in the last two decades there has been a false attempt to frame yearend resolutions or new year resolutions? If you are like me, I am sure there would have been ton of them that didn’t see the light! Personal productivity goals, reading habits, being nice to self and others, finish up what has been pending for really long, travel goals, weight loss and workouts, becoming wise and intelligent, being non-indulgent and what not? The list is long and the wins are close to zero!

As much as I wouldn’t want to attempt any of them again, the thought process of why not set some midyear resolutions was and has been very intriguing. Practical or not, I finally gave in and decided to give it a go. I know it is a bit weird and perhaps makes absolutely no sense to even think it would work. The trend after all suggests it won’t work. Only this time, I thought I would be more focused and keep the list really short and experiment if this new found thought of midyear resolutions can actually work.

Can that list be practical? doable? how long would it take to even come up with a list of 3 or 4? Or is it that coming up with that list itself is a midyear resolution!? Why is doing such a small kiddish thing be so much fun, intriguing and exciting? Well, I will delve on this a bit and update it shortly on “Midyear resolutions.! - the list”.

In the meantime, is it midyear or mid year or mid-year? This took half hour googling to get the title right(hopefully!).
