The perfect picture

The perfect picture is the one you like the most! There is no imperfect picture per se, but if one exists, it’s an art in itself! One thing I realised after reading the books of the great Ansel Adams, it’s one thing to be a technician and quite another to be an artist, and there exists a rare category that’s both technician and artists! I am quite happy these days if get the subject in my frame that’s clear, sharp and represent a fair amount of its habitat! And hope, with continued learning and efforts be better, someday!

This is an art, science, and tech form of creativity that needs continuous learning and effort. I see the work of the great photographers like Galen Rowell who I admire and draw a lot of inspiration to get in to this hobby but realised quickly how dedicated, committed and hardworking they were. It’s not just the creativity but the intensity with which they perfected this art form.

As they say, talent is innate, skill is acquired, creativity is divine gift! It doesn’t matter if we have the right mix of the three or not, that we are able to hold the camera and do happily what we do is a special privilege!
